INSTRUCTIONS

By default the search will include all fields but you can narrow the search using the "Fields to Search" drop down list box. Just enter any single word or group of words to return items that match those word exactly. You can also return results containing an exact phrase by enclosing it in quotes for example ("I will Love You Always"). Searches are not case sensitive.

Logical Operators

("*", Asterisks) - You can place this operator at the begining or end of a word or phrase when searching for nonexact matches.
EXAMPLE:   "Elvis P*" will return all items begining with "Elvis P" regardless of what they end with.

("OR", "|", Assumed) - This operator returns all items containing either or both words.
EXAMPLE:   "Elvis or Presley" will return all items containing either of these words.
EXAMPLE:   Assumed would mean a search for "Elivs Presley" is exactly the same as one for "Elvis or Presley".

("AND", "&", "+") - These operators allow you to search for items that contain only both words not just either one.
EXAMPLE:   "Elvis and Presley" will return all items containing both "Elvis" and "Presley" but not items that contain just "Elvis" and not just "Presley".

("NOT", "-") - This operator allows you to remove items containing a word from a search.
EXAMPLE:   "Elvis not Costello" will return all items containg the word "Elvis" but not the ones that have the word "Costello" in them.

(Symbols) - You may also notice above that you can use the "&" and "|" symbols in place of "AND" and "OR" respectively. You can use the "-" and "+" symbols to add and remove words from a search as well.
EXAMPLE:   "+Presley -Lisa -Priscilla" will return all items containing "Elvis" that do not contain "Lisa" or "Priscilla".

Wild Cards

The asterisk (*) matches any string of zero or more characters including spaces.
EXAMPLE:   "b*b" will return "Bob", "blob", "Biology and Biorhythms", but not "bump"

The question mark (?) matches any single character.
EXAMPLE:   "b??k" will return "bark", and "Bank", but not "brook"

Note: All Search words assumed to begin and end with an (*) even if it is not entered.
